Satisfaction

Satisfaction...

I picked this word because I think that this describes a lot about the people in the town and in court. Cause they felt like the law and the decision were very chosen fairly. And that made them happy. They said that if you were accused and you lied and said no I am not you would be killed. But, if you were accused and you said yes I am then you would be saved for death. They just rely felt satisfaction. Witch made them fell also more safe with the families and friends with out witches around.

Samuel Sewall (Topsfeild)

Samuel Sewall,was born in 1652 in Hampshire, England. He was one of the judges, issued a public confession of guilt and an apology. He shifted blame to others. He was also famous for his diary. Sewall was a representative of a new breed of Puritans who took more interest in secular matters like business, politics, and good living. Sewall kept a diary for almost fifty-seven years (1673-1729). It was an excellent indicator of the manners and mores of the times. A good edition is The Diary of Samuel Sewall edited by M. Halsey Thomas, 1973.

Abigail is a a 17 year old girl and she is falling for an older guy named John Proctor. Abigail wants to get rid of Proctors wife Elisabeth and do so by accusing her of witchcraft. Abigail is a very dishonest person that would probably accuse the people around her to save her self. People think she is evil like the devil.

Do What Needs To Get Done!

I've learned how to spell better. I now know about what going on in the world which sometimes good and somethings bad. I now know how to do write summary. I know about what Ishmael and what he went through and Arnold how he was living. Like how he went to a new school and the people on the reservation started to hate him. we learned about the holidays and whats going on in the world. I like this class when I am there. I might not be there a lot but when I am I think that I am pretty focused on what is happening. I have learned now how to blog about stuff as well. Thank you Mrs.DeRaps

Hazard on Haiti

On Jan. 12 Haiti, which is one of the poorest and least developed countries in the world, experienced the worst earthquake in 200 years. The natural disaster left the majority of the capital under ruin and 50,000 citizens dead. The massive devastation has left many obstacles for any out side country trying to send help. About 3 million people/one third of the pop. in Haiti have been effected. The orphans of the earthquake have been, and are being set up with eligible parents in the U.S..This leaves people homeless and some with out their family.

A Long Way Gone (Final)

Ishamel Beah is now living in Brooklyn New York and has become very successful. He is working for Human Rights Watch Children's Division Advisory Committee. He wants to go to graduate school. He has served as the key spokesperson for some events, like the Global Young Leaders conference in 2007. He is currently 29 and visited his homeland in Sierra Leone with a news group and said that it was a good and bad thing. His book A Long Way Gone has earned an award called the Quill award for the best debut author in 2007.
